“who are you and why should i care?”
my name is alexander andrade. i’m a half cuban jew born in miami and raised in the suburbs around austin, texas. since 2010, i’ve worked for various restaurants around austin and have consistently made some attempt at writing for the bulk of that time. on this site, i post opinion pieces and musings every so often about everything from dining, to parenting, to politics, to niche service industry material as a means by which to vent out the constant stream of thought that my therapist says i “need to find something to do with”.
you can catch me most nights slinging food and booze to the good folks of austin, but feel free to buy me a mezcal when you inevitably see me at gibson after.
